Privacy

We store an email address and the designs you download. We count page views without cookies, run no advertising, and nothing is sold or shared. You can delete all of it yourself, at any time.

What we store

Your email address

Signing in creates an account that holds one thing: your email address. We never ask for your name, and there is no password to store. You sign in either with a 6-digit code we email you, or with Google.

The designs you download

Each download writes one row: which design it was, the options you chose, the text you put on the tag, the machine and material you built it for, and the date. That row is what fills your My designs page and what lets you download the same file again later.

A collection you asked to hear about

If you ask to be told when a collection opens, we store your email address and which collection you asked about. That needs no account. Nothing mails from this list automatically — it is read by hand when a collection opens.

The files we build for you

A download is built on our server and stored privately, named after a fingerprint of the file itself rather than after you. Two people who build the same tag get the same file. Nothing in that storage says who asked for it.

Which pages are visited

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, so we know which designs people look at and where they stop before downloading. It sets no cookie and uses nothing that can follow you to another site. A view records the page's path, the page you came from, roughly where in the world you are, and the kind of browser and device. A hashed visitor id tells one day's views apart and is discarded after 24 hours. Before a view is sent, this site removes everything after the question mark in the address, so the text you type on a tag never leaves the page. We see totals, not people.

When something breaks

If a page fails or a download cannot be built, an error report goes to Sentry so we can fix it. It carries the error itself, the page's path with everything after the question mark removed, which design and machine were chosen, and the kind of browser. It does not carry the text you typed, your email address, or your IP address, and Sentry is set not to keep one.

What we do not do

No advertising and no following you

This site runs no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts. The page counting above does not build a profile of you, cannot recognize you tomorrow, and does not follow you to other sites.

No selling and no sharing

We never sell your email address and we never pass it to anyone for their own use. The only companies that touch your data are the ones that run this site, listed below.

Who else handles your data

Running the site means trusting a few companies with parts of it. Each one only sees what it needs:

Clerk

Holds your email address and keeps you signed in.

Neon

Hosts the database holding your downloads.

Vercel

Hosts the site, builds and stores your files, counts page views as described above, and keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses for a short period.

Sentry

Receives the error reports described above, and nothing else.

Google

Only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google then tells us your email address and nothing else. If you sign in with a code instead, Google is not involved.

Deleting your account

How to do it

Go to your account page and choose to delete your account. You type the word DELETE to confirm, and it happens immediately. There is no waiting period and nobody to email.

What goes

Everything: your email address, your account, every saved design, and any request to hear about a collection. None of it is kept in a backup copy for later use.

What you keep

The zips already on your computer are yours. Deleting your account does not reach them, and your license to use them does not expire.

Questions

Why does downloading need an account at all?

So the files you make are still there when you come back, on whatever device you are holding, and so we can reach you if a file turns out to be wrong.

Can I see what you hold about me?

Your My designs page is the whole of it, plus the email address shown on your account page. If you want it another way, write to us.

Who do I ask?

Write to hello@bluefloorstudio.co. A person reads it.
